China Does Not Agree To Share Customs Data With India

China does not agree to share customs data with India, underbilling from China will stop only after mandating export declaration. The government is claiming to start the faceless assessment of imports by October 31, but this will not prevent the goods under underbilling from China.

According to experts, bringing goods worth 100 rupees from China to India as goods of 60 rupees can be stopped only when the export declaration will be made mandatory. The government has tried to share customs data with China, but China is not ready to share its custom data.

According to custom experts, if an Indian buys goods from a seller in China, it means that the seller of China exported it to the buyer of India. While bringing those goods to India, the declaration of that Chinese exporter will have to be presented that the exporter has sold his goods to the Indian importer in this amount.

According to experts, if there is any doubt about this type of certificate, the Indian Customs Department will be able to confirm with the Customs Department of China.

Custom expert and CA Manish Gupta said that as passport offices of each other country are connected and any foreigner’s passport is suspected, it is checked immediately from that country. Similarly, Indian Customs had requested to share customs data with China, but China refused to link its Custom Office.

According to experts, there are two types of tests during the clearance of imported goods. An inquiry is done on the duty of imported goods whether the duty is properly imposed on the goods to be imported or if there is any defect in the documents related to it. The second check is for imported goods.

Suppose someone has shown the import of the book in the document, but instead of the book, a pornographic book was imported on which the duty is different or which is prohibited. Experts said that till October 31, the only fee-related investigation will be completely faceless.

The advantage will be that importers will not have to come to the official for document work and the container will also be passed in a shorter time than before. But the investigation of the object will be physical. For faceless testing of the object, videography will have to be done and uploaded and it will have to be quizzed by the importer in a virtual manner.
