Corona Restrictions Again Tightened In Karnataka

Corona restrictions again tightened in Karnataka, restrictions like night curfew extended in many areas.

In view of the increasing cases of corona in the southern state of Karnataka, the restrictions have been tightened.

Karnataka has decided to impose a weekend curfew in the districts bordering Kerala and Maharashtra.

Along with this, it has been decided to start the existing night curfew in the entire state from 9 pm instead of 10 pm. It has been decided to extend the curfew.

In addition, all social/political/sports/entertainment/educational/cultural/religious functions/other gatherings and large gatherings shall be prohibited at all times in the districts.

Any person found violating corona rules in these two districts of Karnataka will be liable under relevant provisions of sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act, 2005, section 188 of IPC.

The legal action will be taken under other legal provisions.

Corona restrictions again tightened in Karnataka: Coronavirus infection is not decreasing in the state of  Karnataka.

During this time only people, patients, and passengers connected with essential services will be allowed to move.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday held a meeting with health and education experts, ministers, and senior state government officials to discuss the COVID-19 situation in the state.

Bommai said, ‘We have discussed the current covid situation, there have been some instructions at all India levels regarding possible increase or decrease in infection rate in the coming days.

He further added that based on these instructions we have taken some decisions.

He said, we have decided to impose a weekend curfew in the districts bordering Kerala and Maharashtra and the night curfew across the state will start from 9 pm instead of 10 pm (this is from 9 pm onwards).

It will is till 5 am and the police have been asked to implement it strictly.
