Target Killing Averted, Two TRF Terrorists Arrested

Target killing averted, two TRF terrorists were arrested, who came to attack workers.

In Sopore, North Kashmir, security forces on Thursday averted the incident of targeting by arresting two local terrorists of The Resistance Front (TRF).

Two pistols, two magazines, and five cartridges have also been recovered from the arrested terrorists. Both the terrorists had come from South Kashmir to attack the workers of other states in Sopore.

A police spokesman said that the Sopore police came to know from their system in the evening that two TRF terrorists had entered to carry out the targeted killing.

The police along with the soldiers of 52 RR of the army put up nakas at certain places in Tarju and adjoining areas.

Near Darpora Delina, the soldiers saw two youths going towards Sir at quarter to eight. The soldiers had some doubts about him. He warned them both and asked them to stop.

Hearing the warning of the soldiers, both the youths tried to run away but failed. The soldiers caught both of them and searched them.

Target killing averted: During interrogation, it was revealed that he is a terrorist of the Hit Squad of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

They have been identified as Faizan Ahmed Pal resident of Pinjoura Shopian and Muzammil Rashid Mir resident of Arihal Pulwama.

Both were sent by their handlers to carry out the targeted killing of workers and policemen in Sopore in North Kashmir.

Seizures 4 tractor trolleys carrying construction material after illegal mining:

Continuing its campaign against illegal mining and transportation of construction material, the police of district Samba have seized 4 tractor trolleys carrying illegal mining in the Devika river in the area.

These 4 tractor trolleys Illegally transported construction materials.

Acting on specific information received by the police:

During vehicle checking on NH AIIMS Naka, tractor JK21E 8208, JK21C 3980, JK21G 9760, and a tractor without a registration number were illegally extracting sand from the Devak river bed.

All the tractor trolleys seized by the police were handed over to the Geology and Mining Department, Samba for further action.
