Soldiers deployed on the LAC equipped with American rifles and Swiss pistols, the enemy will get a befitting reply.

All necessary resources are being provided to the Indian soldiers posted on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) to deal with Chinese aggression.

According to the leading news agency, under this, SIG Sauer 716 assault rifles and Swiss MP-9 pistols have been provided to the army personnel at the forward base.

This is so that the army personnel on the border can face any sudden challenge.

Army officials posted at high altitude locations along the LAC said that the soldiers have now been given American SIG Sauer 716 assault rifles for the operation.

Its range is up to 500 meters and it can prove to be an effective weapon in mountainous areas.

The report said that India had ordered about 1.5 such rifles after the situation on the border worsened due to Chinese aggression in eastern Ladakh, especially in the Galwan Valley.

A large number of such rifles have been received under this order.

This news has come at a time when the armies of India and China have completed the process of withdrawing their soldiers after being face to face for nearly 15 months at the Gogra confrontation point in eastern Ladakh.

Soldiers deployed on the LAC: The Indian Army said on Friday that the withdrawal process was completed on August 4 and 5.

In the process, all temporary structures and other allied infrastructure built by both armies were destroyed. Not only this but they were also verified mutually.

In an official statement issued by the Army, it has been said that the process of withdrawing troops at Patrolling Point-17A or Gogra was done in accordance with the agreement reached in the 12th round of military talks at the Corps Commander level.

In a meeting held on July 31 at the Chushul-Moldo meeting point in eastern Ladakh, both sides agreed to withdraw troops from the Gogra area.

The army said that soldiers from both sides are now on their permanent bases. With this, another area of conflict has been resolved.
