Delhi Police Arrested Four Members Of PFI

Delhi Police on Monday arrested four members of PFI. Delhi Police has made the first arrests after banning PFI.

A senior Delhi Police official has confirmed the arrest of four PFI members. However, he refused to reveal the names of the accused.

A few days ago, the police registered a case against the PFI at Shaheenbagh police station under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

Significantly, on September 27, the government banned the PFI for five years. After this, supporters and members of PFI created a ruckus in the Shaheenbagh area.

Delhi Police had detained 30 people regarding this. Delhi Police had imposed Section 144 in Jamia Nagar, Shaheenbagh, and New Friends Colony areas.

According to South-East district police officials, a case was registered against PFI under UAPA at Shaheenbagh police station.

The head office of PFI was in Shaheenbagh, and the investigation of this case has been handed over to ACP Badarpur Joginder in June.

According to sources, three offices of PFI, the ground floor of Zaid Apartment, the ground floor of Hilal House in Abu Fazal Enclave Jamia Nagar, and the thirteenth floor of Jamia were sealed under Section 8 of the UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, UAPA).

It is said that many documents including mobile phones and other devices were also taken by the investigating agencies in Shaheen Bagh.

If seen, the figure of arrests of PFI workers from 8 states of the country has reached close to 200.

The intelligence agencies are also keeping a close watch on the situation so that the situation does not worsen.

According to the police, 4 members of the arrested PFI were engaged in illegal activities. They were making a ruckus with the flag. The police will present the arrested accused in court on Tuesday.
