Devdutt Padikkal Breaks IPL’s Big Record, Scored 5Th Fifty

Devdutt Padikkal breaks IPL’s big record, RCB gave chance to replace vice-captain.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team dropped their vice-captain Parthiv Patel in the IPL 2020 being played in the UAE and Devdutt Padikkal was named as the opener in the first match.

Padikkal also did not disappoint RCB’s management and captain Virat Kohli. Padikkal played a half-century in his first match.

After that, he played many more powerful innings. Even in the last league match for RCB, he once again scored a half-century and made history.

In fact, Devdutt Padikkal has become the first player in the history of IPL to play the most fifties innings in a season, being an uncapped Indian.

Padikkal scored his fifth half-century in the tournament, leaving Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer behind. In 2008, Shikhar Dhawan played 4 fifties innings for Delhi Daredevils. Shikhar did not debut for India at that time.

At the same time, in 2015, Shreyas Iyer had scored 4 fifties for the Delhi team and now Devdutt Padikkal has smashed his record by hitting five fifties.

All three batsmen have scored 4 or more half-centuries in the IPL when they have not got a chance to play for the Indian team.

Paddikal completed his half-century in 40 balls against Delhi Capitals in this match, but he was clean bowled to take a big shot off the 41st ball.

Significantly, on the basis of strong performance in domestic cricket, RCB bought him for IPL 2020. Devdutt Padikkal lived up to all the expectations of the team.

Padikkal played 14 matches for RCB till the league phase in the 13th season of IPL and scored 472 runs in these matches. During this, he scored 5 half-centuries.

He has scored the tournament runs at an average of over 33, but the strike rate is 126.54. 51 fours have also been rooted in this tournament so far.

Rituraj Gaikwad’s coach, who saved the honor of Chennai Super Kings, told how he became the opener

Chennai Super Kings opener Ruturaj Gaikwad won the hearts of all cricket experts and fans with his performance. The Maharashtra player was also praised by his team, CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

He scored three man-of-the-match awards for scoring half-centuries in three consecutive innings. Ruturaj’s success is behind the advice given to him by his coach Sandeep Chavan seven years ago.

Ruturaj coach Sandeep Chavan said that he had advised this young player seven years ago to open the innings.

Ruturaj coach Sandeep said that he was our trainee at Vengsarkar Cricket Academy. I think he was 16 then and represented Maharashtra at the junior level, batting in the middle order.
