Devotees Of Mata Vaishno Devi Will Get Better Facilities

Devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi will get better facilities, infrastructure development of Katra will be done under the Prashad scheme.

Under the Prashad scheme in the Dharma city of Katra, infrastructure facilities will be provided for the devotees coming from the country and abroad at a cost of Rs 50 crore.

Under the scheme, construction of multi-story parking lot, multi-purpose tourism facility center, fountain square, rejuvenation of roads, amphitheater, construction of water points and toilets along with other basic facilities will be made available in Dharam Nagar.

Apart from this, it is also proposed to make electricity, water, telephone, and other wires underground in Katra, to give a look to all the shops till Darshani Dhoni and to make gates and squares under the scheme.

Devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi will get better facilities: Jammu Divisional Commissioner Dr. Raghav Langar held a high-level meeting to review the preparations being made to start this project.

The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer of PWD, Director of Urban Local Bodies, Chief Engineer of UEED, Deputy Director of Planning Department, CEO of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

District Commissioner of Reasi, Chairman of Katra Municipal Committee, and Katra Development Authority and Tourism Department. Officers were present.

Dr. Raghav Langar told on the occasion that the Central Government has decided to develop 15 circuits in the country under the Swadesh Darshan scheme.

41 religious cities in 25 states under the Prashad scheme and also Katra from Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr. Raghav Langar, while discussing in detail the works to be done under the project, instructed all the concerned departments to implement it at the ground level with mutual coordination.

He also directed to submit the prepared DPR for the rejuvenation of roads in Katra for approval.

He advised making a better management plan to deal with the traffic problem in the town and directed the District Commissioner of Reasi to move forward in this direction by coordinating with everyone.
