Naxalites blew up the track in Dhanbad Rail Division, trains stopped for 7 hours on the Howrah-New Delhi route.

Naxals blow up railway tracks between Chichaki and Karmabandh railway stations. During the Jharkhand-Bihar bandh, Naxals have targeted the railways.

A bomb exploded on pole number 333/16 between Chichaki and Karmabandh railway stations of Dhanbad railway division and blew up and down tracks.

Due to this, operations on the Howrah and New Delhi rail routes came to a standstill.

There was panic in the Dhanbad Railway Divisional Control Office of East Central Railway as soon as the information about the derailment of the railway track was received.

Train operations were immediately stopped. New Delhi-Howrah, New Delhi-Rajdhani, New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express were also affected.

The incident took place around 12.30 pm on Wednesday night. Rail control got information about the derailment at 12.34 am.

Naxalites blew up the track in Dhanbad: Railways are already in alert mode, operations start after seven hours.

The railway is in alert mode due to the bandh by Naxalites. Instructions were given to operate the trains by controlling the speed. Along with this, special precautions were being taken.

Perhaps this is the reason why the train was not damaged by the explosion. Railways resumed operations on Thursday morning by repairing the track.

The first train was run by converting Gaya-Dhanbad Intercity-Express as MT coach. It reached Gomo station at 7.25 am.

Train operations on the Howrah-New Delhi route between Dhanbad-Gaya were disrupted for about seven hours.

Jharkhand-Bihar bandh to protest Prashant Bose’s arrest.

The Naxalites have called for Jharkhand-Bihar on January 27. The bandh has been called in protest against the arrest of CPI politburo member Prashant Bose and his Naxalite wife Sheela Marandi.

During this, the Naxalites exploded between Chichaki and Karmabandh. After the blast, Naxalites have also left posters at the spot. It has been said to make Resistance Day a success.

Naxalites did violence even on resistance day.

To protest the arrest of Prashant Bose and his wife Sheela Marandi and demand treatment in jail, Naxalites celebrated Resistance Day from 21 to 26 January before the Jharkhand-Bihar bandh.

There was violence during this too. Mobile tower and bridge were blown up in Giridih district.
