External Affairs Minister Jaishankar spoke to his counterparts from Israel, Egypt, Nepal.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held separate telephonic conversations with his counterparts in Israel, Egypt, and Nepal on Friday.
During this, Jaishankar discussed further strengthening of bilateral relations.
After a telephonic conversation with Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapido, Jaishankar said the talks focused on bilateral and multilateral relations.
Yair Lapido said that the relationship between the two countries has strengthened, and will work together to further strengthen it.
Regarding the conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri, Jaishankar said that he is hopeful of taking the bilateral relations between the two countries to new heights.
He said that this year is special for India-Egypt as it is the 75th year of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Discussions were held with Nepal’s Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka on bilateral relations as well as the implementation of development projects and post-earthquake reconstruction works.
Pakistan’s claim – up to 94 percent fence has been installed on Durand Line.
Despite the Taliban’s objections to border fencing, Pakistan has claimed that up to 94 percent of the work on the Durand Line fencing has been completed.
Afgan Media has referred to the statement of the Pakistan Army spokesperson and said that Pakistan has called it a better decision for the security of both the countries and its people.
Babar Iftikhar, spokesman of Pakistan’s army said, ‘Pakistan will complete this work. This is good for the safety of the public on both sides.
Durand Line is the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Durand Line is the boundary between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The previous Afghan government and the Taliban have also long opposed the Durand Line.
Earlier this week, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid told a Pashto channel in Pakistan that Afghans oppose a fence built by Pakistan on the Durand Line.
