The conditions are favorable for the further advance of the Monsoon into some more parts of the Arabian Sea, the entire Maldives, and the Lakshadweep areas during the next 48 hours.

Conditions are likely to become favorable for the monsoon to reach Kerala during this week.

When asked about the delay in the onset of monsoon, a senior scientist of the department said that the forecast of May 27 had also predicted four days back and forth.
