Russia’s Deputy Chief of Mission in India, Roman Babushkin, said on Monday that Russia is committed to giving the remaining units of the S-400 air defense system to India by 2025-2026. He also shed light on the fact that this air defense “did its job well” during the recent India-Pakistan tension.

Roman also pointed to increasing bilateral cooperation with India in air defense and anti-drone systems. He said, “We have heard that the S-400 worked effectively during the recent conflicts between India and Pakistan. We have a long history of cooperation.” Babushkin said that the deal for the remaining two S-400 units is underway. He said that its delivery is expected by 2025-26. Let us inform you that in 2018, India signed a deal worth US$ 5.43 billion with Russia for five squadrons of the S-400 Triumph missile system.
