Indian Army gets first Light Combat Helicopter, will attack enemies with border surveillance.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) handed over the indigenously manufactured Light Combat Helicopter to the Indian Army on Thursday.
This special helicopter has been included in the Army Aviation Corps.
After the induction of this Light Combat Helicopter into the Aviation Corps of the Army, the combat power of the Indian Army is being considered a tremendous increase.
On October 3, the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) will also be officially included in the Indian Air Force.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh himself will hand over the Light Combat Helicopter to the Air Force in Jodhpur.
It will be installed at Jodhpur Air Base on the border with Pakistan. This helicopter is the first LCH squadron of the Air Force indigenously designed and developed.
According to media reports, this will make it easier to monitor the Pakistan border.
The army will buy 95 more such helicopters. Seven units of these will be made. Which will be deployed in seven different mountainous areas.
Talking about the specialty of this light combat helicopter, two people can sit in it. It is 51.10 feet long, and 15.5 feet high. Its weight is 5800 kg.
Light Combat Helicopter can fly up to an altitude of 6500 feet.
Weapons weighing 700 kg can be installed in it. It can fly at a maximum speed of 268 kmph. Its range is 550 km. It can fly continuously for 3 hours and 10 minutes at a time.
It can go up to a maximum height of 6500 feet. Rockets, missiles, and bombs can be fitted in the four hard points present in the Light Combat Helicopter.
They are capable of attacking air to surface and air to air.
Will fail enemy missiles and rockets.
Cluster munitions, unguided bombs, and grenade launchers can be installed in this. This helicopter also has chef and flare dispense so that enemy missiles and rockets can be failed.
On joining this army, the old Mi-35 and Mi-25 helicopters can be removed. Let us tell you that both these helicopters were made by Russia.
