NIA raids Jamaat-e-Islamia’s hideouts in three districts of Kashmir Valley. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting raids at several places in the Kashmir Valley.

NIA officials along with police and CRPF team reached Pattan in district Baramulla and Pingalana area of ​​Pulwama and started search operation at the houses of Jamaat-e-Islamia activists in Shopian.

At present, searches are going on at many places including the residence of former District President of Jamaat-e-Islamia Abdul Gani Wani and Pir Tanveer.

During this operation, three people have been detained while some documents have also been confiscated.

Police sources said that these raids are being conducted in connection with the terror funding case in Kashmir. The NIA has been probing the matter for a long time.

They have come to know that Jamaat-e-Islamia Jamaat is collecting money from the country and abroad through donations for other welfare activities including Zakat, Mauda, and Bait-ul-Mal.

This money being collected by the Jamaat is not being spent on the welfare of the people but on inciting violence in Kashmir, separatist activities.

According to an NIA official, the money raised by the Jamaat is being channeled through a well-organized network to separatist organizations including Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), LeT.

Not only this, but Jamaat is also working to guide the youth of Kashmir on the path of terrorism.

By teaching the lesson of the alleged jihad, these people are also doing the work of recruiting youth into terrorist organizations.

The NIA investigation is still going on. Apart from Abdul Gani Wani and Pir Tanveer, associated with Jamaat-e-Islamia, the NIA team reached the house of other activists this morning together with the team.

These raids are going on in the Uskara area of ​​Pattan in district Baramulla and Pingalana in district Pulwama and some areas of Shopian district.

People whose homes and offices are being raided. No one is allowed to go inside or outside there.

The SHO of the local police is also present at the spot. It was not immediately known in which case the raids were being conducted.

But let us tell you that last month also the NIA had conducted raids in the Kashmir Valley in a similar manner.

Those raids were carried out in June last year in connection with the seizure of an IED from Jammu’s Bhatinda area and another in connection with the recruitment of youths from Jammu and Kashmir by Lashkar-e-Taiba.
