In this episode, the army is now looking for a new range after the firing range in Ayodhya was denotified. Hundreds of acres of land were acquired for the construction of the temple in Ayodhya and its development and rejuvenation. A grand Ram temple was built, an airport was built and there were many disputes regarding the acquisition of land, one of which was the buffer zone of the Indian Army’s Field and Firing Range in Ayodhya, which the government denotified and changed the land use of this land. The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has decided to map this area and open it to the public for construction and commercial use.

On the government’s decision to denotify the firing range, army sources said that since the firing range is coming on the flight route of the new airport, it is not safe to practice firing here. At the same time, the search for another firing range is going on. There is a process for the acquisition of defense land, under which an application is made for land for any civil work on the Defense Land Management Portal. The DG of the Defense State gives his opinion on the report on why the land is to be taken, why it is practical or not, then the Defense Ministry examines it.

After this, approval is given, which is the rule for defense land. In this, whichever government or government agency has to take the land. Whatever land and whatever construction is done on that defense land, it has to give the same amount of land and the same amount of construction at some other place in exchange. Apart from this, there is also a provision of cash compensation, but the army rarely uses it.

The same process will be adopted for denotification and acquisition of defense land in Ayodhya. However, army sources completely rejected the news of the unauthorized occupation of many defense lands in the country and said that there is no unauthorized occupation of any land in the country and the army has a strict mechanism for such matters.
