India created history under the captaincy of Dhawan, a clean sweep of the West Indies in the ODI series: Ind vs WI, 3rd ODI.

In the rain-affected third ODI under the captaincy of Shikhar Dhawan, the Indian team defeated the hosts West Indies by 119 runs to win the ODI series 3-0.

Under the captaincy of Dhawan, the Indian team made a clean sweep of the West Indies on their soil for the first time in the ODI series.

The third match was badly affected due to rain and the entire game could not be played. Later the match was decided on the basis of the Duckworth-Lewis rule and Team India won the match.

Shubman Gill was also given the title of ‘Player of the Series’ along with ‘Player of the Match.

India won the third ODI by 119 runs by the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 98Yuzvendra Chahal took 4 wickets.

Siraj and Shardul got two successes each.

In this match at Queen’s Park Oval, Indian captain Dhawan won the toss and elected to bat and scored 225 for 3 in 36 overs on the back of Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 98.

The match was reduced to 40-40 overs due to rain, but after the end of 36 overs of the Indian innings, it started raining again and the match was called off.

Gill also missed his maiden ODI century by 2 runs.

After this West Indies were given a target of 257 runs in 35 overs to win. West Indies again scored 137 runs in 26 overs and were all out. After this Team India won by 119 runs.

In the third ODI, Shubman Gill scored 98 off 98 balls and hit 2 sixes and 7 fours, while Dhawan scored 58 runs in 74 balls with the help of 7 fours.

Shreyas Iyer contributed 44 runs while Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed after scoring 8 runs. Sanju Samson remained unbeaten on 6 runs till the last over.

At the same time, the Caribbean team had to score 257 runs on the basis of the Duckworth-Lewis rule to win, but in front of the Indian bowling, the entire team was crushed for 137 runs.

For India, Yuzvendra Chahal took 4 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs. Apart from Chahal, Mr. Siraj and Shardul Thakur got 2-2 success while Akshar Patel and famous Krishna got one wicket each.

Captain Nicholas Pooran and Brandon King were the best scorers for West Indies with 42 runs each, while Shai Hope contributed 22 runs while Hayden Walsh contributed 10 runs.
