Jammu Division Is On The Target Of Terrorists
Jammu division is on the target of terrorists: The peaceful areas of the Jammu division are on the target of terrorists, what is the reason.
The mini IED blast in Udhampur on Wednesday afternoon has exposed the flaws in the security system, not only denying the government’s claims of improving the security scenario in the state.
It has become clear from this attack that the target of terrorists is now those cities and towns of the state, where the situation is considered completely normal and calm.
Terrorists are strengthening their network in what is called a terrorism-free area.
Intelligence agencies had also told in a report some time ago that desperate terrorists are now planning to carry out subversive activities.
These attacks will happen in those small towns and cities of the state, which are considered to be peaceful, safe, and free from terrorist violence.
Located on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, Udhampur is strategically important. The headquarters of the Northern Command of the Army is also in this city.
Apart from this, there are also some other important establishments and Ordnance Depots of the army.
From the very first day of the terrorist violence in Jammu and Kashmir, pro-Pakistan terrorists have tried to make Udhampur the center of their activities.
But they were limited to carrying out only a few incidents because the local people didn’t let it succeed.
After the failure of their nefarious designs in Udhampur, the terrorists carried out their necessary activities in the remote hill areas of the district and on the Udhampur-Srinagar highway.
Even today traces of atrocities by terrorists are found in Panchairi, Latti, Basantgarh, and its adjoining areas.
The presence of terrorists is still there in Reasi, Mahour, Gul- Gulabgarh which were once a part of Udhampur, but Udhampur is considered terrorism free.
In Udhampur town, terrorists have carried out grenade attacks or bomb blasts only four times in the last 30 years.
However, they have carried out sensational attacks on the National Highway under Udhampur several times. Military vehicles were damaged twice in IED blasts near Patnitop.
Apart from this, 11 years ago, on May 2, 2011, terrorists tried to kill the then Major General DS Pathaniya in a blast on the road near the Northern Command.
One civilian was killed in this attack. Haider, the Pakistani terrorist who carried out the attack, was living in a rented house in Sidra near Jammu.
Before the security agencies could reach him, he had managed to fly away from his hideout.
About seven years ago, Lashkar terrorists attacked a BSF convoy on the highway near Samroli from Udhampur towards Srinagar.
One terrorist involved in this attack was killed on the spot while the other terrorist Naved was caught alive. Naved is also Pakistani.
The mastermind of this attack, Abu Qasim, was killed in an encounter with security forces in Kulgam a few months after the attack.
According to sources associated with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, at this time the terrorists sitting in Pakistan are completely desperate, they want to carry out any major incident in Jammu and Kashmir.
In Kashmir, he is not able to succeed in his plans. In Jammu also his every conspiracy of IED blasts and suicide attacks has failed.
The mini IED attack in Udhampur has confirmed the new conspiracy of the terrorists.
They want to target those cities and towns which are considered free from terrorist violence but are communally sensitive.
Udhampur is considered to be the most prominent town of Jammu province.
Udhampur is the headquarters of the Northern Command of the Army. So this blast has many meanings and this matter is very serious in nature.
