Two rallies of motorcyclists also: This time the army has organized two motorcycle rallies on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
One of these teams is presently on its way from Leh to Daulat-Beg-Oldi at an altitude of 17,000 feet to Dras. The second team is preparing to leave from Udhampur, the Northern Command Headquarters.
Udhampur PRO Defense Lt Col Abhinav Navneet said that this team will leave for Kargil on July 22 from Dhruv War Memorial, Northern Command Headquarters.
Preparation for making memorial: Army and people in Ladakh have intensified their activities on the occasion of the historic day.
Cricket competition at Nobra in Leh, motorcycle rally in Leh, painting competition at Army Goodwill School in Farina, Kargil along with many other programs are also being organized.
Srinagar’s PRO Defense Lt Col Emran Mousavi told that preparations are being made to make Kargil Vijay Diwas memorable in Drass.
The two-day main event at the Drass War Memorial will begin on July 25.
