Kashmiri Hindu employees protest demanding transfer to safe places: Kashmiri Hindus.

Kashmiri Hindu workers, who have been agitating for the last 72 days demanding transfers to safer places after the targeted killings in the Kashmir Valley, once again took to the road on Friday.

Accusing the state administration of adopting a lax attitude towards their problems, these employees demonstrated outside the exhibition ground.

They demanded from the Center and the state administration to take appropriate steps for the safety of their lives and property.

The protesters also demanded the formation of a committee to solve their problems.

These employees, appointed under the Prime Minister’s Employment Package gathered under the banner of All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir and were appointed under normal procedure.

They said that since the targeted killing of Rahul Bhatt on May 12, they have been demanding his transfer to safer places. But their demand is not being heeded.

These workers, who were protesting wearing black ribbons, said that they have been agitating for the last 72 days for their demand.

There is a demand of these employees that the government should attach them to the office of the Relief and Rehabilitation Department, Jammu, and take steps towards normalizing the situation in Kashmir.

Till the situation becomes normal in Kashmir, they should be kept in Jammu as there is a threat to their lives in the current situation in Kashmir.

Demanding the formation of a committee to listen to their demands, the protesters said that this committee should talk to the representatives of Kashmiri Hindu employees and hear their side.

Association spokesperson Ramesh Kumar said on the occasion that the administration is pressurizing them to go to Kashmir and they are being threatened that if they do not join duty, their salary will be stopped.

Ramesh Kumar said that this attitude of the administration will not be tolerated and he will not go to Kashmir by risking his life at any cost.
