Kashmiri Pandits Again Raised The Demand For Satellite Colony

Kashmiri Pandits again raised the demand for satellite colony in Kashmir, said – if there is land for industry, why not for us: Kashmiri Pandits.

Kashmiri Pandits say that there is land for industrial areas in Kashmir, then why not for us. Why doesn’t the central government permanently set up satellite townships for Displaced Pandits.

Their demand is that if they cannot be given a place in Kashmir like a separate Union Territory, then at least a satellite colony can be prepared for them, in which they can live with safety and trust.

There has been resentment among the displaced Pandits for not taking any concrete steps towards permanent rehabilitation in Kashmir.

They are blaming the Center for their neglect, saying that till yesterday the BJP was also a supporter of a separate homeland for the Pandits in Kashmir, but now Homeland seems out of their agenda.

Kashmiri Hindus had to flee the valley in 1990 due to elements of terror in the name of Islam in Kashmir. There were only six-seven hundred families in the valley, all other Kashmiri Pandits arrived as refugees in Jammu or other parts of the country.

According to various organizations of Kashmiri Pandits, about five lakh Kashmiri Pandits have been rendered homeless in their own country due to terrorists.

Homeland seeking in this area: Panun Kashmir, the leading organization of Kashmiri Pandits, has been demanding a separate homeland for the Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley from the very beginning.

According to him, it is necessary to preserve the culture and culture of Kashmiri Pandits. He has been demanding a homeland for himself in the northeast of the vista called Jhelum Dariya.

This area is Anantnag in South Kashmir and its adjoining area. He has been demanding that it be given the status of a Union Territory.

Honorable return of pandits is necessary: Mahaldar

Satish Mahaldar, chairman of the Reclamation, Return, and Rehabilitation of Migrants, said, “I am not a proponent of a separate homeland for Kashmiri Pandits, but I want a respectable rehabilitation.”

Why has the central government not prepared a satellite colony in Kashmir to date? No place has been marked.

He says that there are three thousand acres of land for industries from other states, but there is no land for Kashmiri Pandits waiting to return to their roots.

There is no use in making separate colonies: Chunni Lal

Chunni Lal of Kashmiri Hindu Welfare Society said that I still live in Kashmir, but in Srinagar. I am from south Kashmir. He said that there would be no benefit from building a colony at different places.

There are many reasons for this. He said that under the current circumstances, if there is no homeland in Kashmir as a state for Kashmiri Pandits, then they can be settled in one place altogether.

Satellite colonies can be made for this. The government is making a proposal for a military colony, so why is the Kashmiri Pandit hesitating with the colony. The drama of transit colonies should stop.

Homeland only priority: Panun Kashmir

President of Panun Kashmir, Dr. Ajay Churangu said that at any place, any person settles only when he feels completely safe socially, politically, and economically.

Those who went in the name of Prime Minister’s Rehabilitation Employment Package, their condition is also known by all. He said that homeland is the priority of Kashmiri Pandits.

The BJP has a government at the Center for the last six-seven years, it too has not taken any step in this direction. If the Center is serious about the return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus, it should take some real steps.

So far he has not done anything like this. Perhaps she too does not want to make him angry in view of the possibility of a vote bank for a particular class in Kashmir.
