Pak soldiers violate the ceasefire at Tungdar-Karnah setter on Kupwara LOC: Ceasefire Violation.
Panic spread to the forward areas adjacent to the LoC in North Kashmir’s district Kupwara when Pak soldiers violate the cease-fire, suddenly opened fire on the residential areas along with Indian posts.
Many people moved to safer places to avoid Gelabari. Indian jawans also retaliated and targeted Pakistani targets. Shelling is taking place from Uri to the Gurez sector.
The army has asked all field commanders posted on the LoC to take full precautions and give a befitting reply to the Pakistani Army.
The shelling process began today with the Dhani, Sadpora, Hajitara, and Jadda outposts of Tangdar and Karnah sectors in the district Kupwara in north Kashmir and civil settlements around them.
To avoid Pakistani shelling, about a dozen families have left their houses and moved to nearby safe areas in Tangdar and Karnah sector. Indian jawans also retaliated and opened fire on Pakistani targets.
A few minutes after the retaliation of the Indian jawans at Tungdar and Karnah, Pak troops also attacked in two other places.
In the Uri sector of district Baramulla, Pakistani troops started galvanizing at the barricaded Tad Indian bases.
Pakistani soldiers sitting in the Hajipir pass across the LoC in front of the Uri sector fired shells and mortar shells at Indian targets.
The fire started in the Gurez sector, adjacent to the LoC in Bandipore district, about 20 minutes after the fire started in Uri.
Concerned military officials said that at almost seven places from Uri to Gurez in North Kashmir, there were shelling from each other on both sides.
Pakistani soldiers have fired cannon and mortar shells targeting India’s military and civilian targets. There was no loss in Pakistani firing till noon.
In retaliation, efforts are being made to collect the details of the damage caused to Pakistan.
