ED summons Chhota Shakeel’s aide Salim Qureshi in a money laundering case.

The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Salim Qureshi, an aide of Chhota Shakeel, in the money laundering case related to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Let us inform you that on Tuesday, Chhota Shakeel and Salim Qureshi were questioned by the ED for nine hours.

Apart from this, the residence of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar in Mumbai was also raided. Yesterday, ED had raided around 10 places in Mumbai.

This action was taken under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

At least 70 Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Tuesday searched 10 premises in Mumbai, including the residences of Dawood Ibrahim’s brother Iqbal Kaskar, Chhota Shakeel’s brother-in-law Salim Fruit and Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar’s son.

Significantly, the Enforcement Directorate is conducting raids in Mumbai in cases related to the underworld and money laundering

ED summons Chhota Shakeel’s aide Salim Qureshi: Some underworld fugitives and politicians are also under investigation in this case.

This action is being taken on the basis of some intelligence inputs received by the ED and the FIR registered by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

According to the information received, based on the FIR of the National Investigation Agency, the ED registered a case of money laundering to probe Ibrahim’s hawala network as well as property deals.

Searches are being conducted at 10 places including Nagpada, which was once a stronghold of Ibrahim. Some politicians are also under the scanner.

Ibrahim and his associates fled to Pakistan before the 1993 Mumbai blasts, in which 257 people were killed.

He has been associated with several terrorist organizations and is believed to be helping narco-terrorism through his hawala network.
