President Kovind visits Southern Naval Command, watches operational demonstrations with his wife.
President Ram Nath Kovind, who arrived in Kochi on a four-day visit to Kerala, visited the Southern Naval Command.
During this, the President witnessed the operational performance of the Naval Command. His wife was also present with the President.
Earlier on Tuesday, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan received President Ram Nath Kovind on his arrival in Kannur.
He also addressed the fifth convocation of the Central University of Kerala at Kasaragod on the first day of his visit to Kerala.
Ram Nath Kovind said, ‘Education, as Sri Narayana Guru reminded us, can uplift the quality of life of the student and thus the society as well.’
The President said that the great saint and social reformer used to inspire people with his lines like ‘Vidyakondu Prabuddha Ravuka’, which means, ‘Get enlightened through education.
He said that the lives of great men and women, especially the leaders of our freedom movement, expose the simple truth that schools and colleges are the most important sites of personal and social change.
These are the workshops where the destiny of a nation is shaped.
The President said that the vibrancy and energy he experiences in educational places like the beautiful campus of the Central University of Kerala comes from the possibilities of social empowerment.

President Kovind visits Southern Naval Command: President Kovind is on a visit to Kerala from 21 to 24 December.
He said that this unbroken cycle of knowledge is necessary to empower society and the nation.
Speaking about the National Policy on Education, 2020, he said that the government’s job in promoting education is to help create the right environment in which young minds will be filled with creativity.
