Security Of Railway Stations Will Be Tightened

Security of railway stations will be tightened, security plan prepared for 25 stations of NER.

The security of the stations of the North Eastern Railway will be tight and tight. It will be secured by running walls all around.

Passengers will enter only from the gate. Where there is more than one gate, they shall be closed. CC cameras will monitor each passenger.

For this, the Railway Security Force has prepared the Station Security Plan. The Lucknow division has prepared a list of 25 stations including Gorakhpur and Lucknow.

Walls will run around the stations, entrance will be available only from the gate

Gorakhpur and Lucknow Junction already have an integrated security system in place. There are 67 CC cameras in Gorakhpur and 49 in Lucknow.

Metal detectors and baggage scanners have been installed at the gates. There are 40 cameras in Gonda, 37 in Basti, and 31 in Khalilabad.

The process of installing CC cameras has started in Manikpur, Badshahnagar, Sitapur, Aishbagh, Lakhimpur. There are also plans to install cameras in Anand Nagar, Nautanwan, Badhi, Bahraich, Balrampur, Nanpara, and Mailani.

The security arrangements of these stations will be very strong. The boundary wall will be run on the open section of the station yard. So that the entry of unauthorized passengers and animals can be curbed.

Gorakhpur Junction will also be completely closed by running a wall towards Dharamshala and Asuran intersection. A proposal for this has also been prepared.

Meri Saheli is assuring women passengers of safety

There is relief news for women traveling alone at Deepavali and Chhath festival. For the safety of women passengers, the Railway Protection Force has formed a security team named Meri Saheli.

It is contacting women passengers in all the major trains including Gorakhdham, Cochin, and Kushinagar, which pass through Gorakhpur and Vaishali, Saptakranti, and Bihar Sampark Kranti, passing through this route, also assuring security.

The team is also providing a card for helpline number 182 related to security. According to Assistant Security Commissioner Ravi Shankar Singh, this campaign will be carried out till the Chhath festival.

Drone cameras will monitor Gorakhpur, Gonda, and Lucknow junction

Gorakhpur, Gonda, and Lucknow Junction will now be monitored by drone cameras. Railway Protection Force Lucknow Division has prepared a proposal and budget for drone cameras to further strengthen security.

Headquarters Gorakhpur has also given its recommendation.

The Station Security Plan has been prepared. Work on the plan is in progress. All major railway stations will be fully secured till the situation becomes normal.
