Security situation improves in Kashmir but terrorist activities increase in PoK across the border: Jammu Kashmir.

The security scenario has improved in the state during the last six months. Around 400 overground workers including terrorists have been arrested.

Terrorist violence has decreased, but during the last two months, terrorist activities have intensified on the launching pads under the protection of the Pakistan Army across the Line of Control (LoC).

Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and terrorist leader are conspiring to deliver weapons with narcotics to Kashmir.

In the meeting, the strategy was also finalized to strengthen the intelligence system and security system completely and to conduct a planned anti-terrorist operation on the basis of intelligence inputs.

During this, an action plan was also decided for continuous cooperation and coordination with civil society to counter the propaganda of Pakistan and separatists.

The meeting, held at the Chinar Corps Headquarters, was jointly chaired by Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen DP Pandey and Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh.

In this, apart from senior officers of Army, CRPF, BSF, Police, Central Intelligence Agencies, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir also participated.

Security situation improves in Kashmir: The officials discussed the situation along the LoC, along the LoC, and inside the Kashmir Valley and related intelligence inputs.

Officials said the situation along the LoC and the international border has improved with the resumption of the ceasefire.

Infiltration attempts have also come down, but in view of the increasing activities in terrorist launching pads and terrorist training camps in Pakistan, there is a need to exercise utmost vigilance.

Apart from this, incidents of cross-border smuggling of narcotics and weapons are also increasing, to which the security forces and intelligence agencies are paying full attention.

To prevent this, all routes of infiltration and smuggling along the LoC are being closely monitored.

Terrorist organizations tricking the youth: Referring to law and order, the officials told in the meeting that during the last six months the situation has improved a lot.

Terrorist violence has come down, but there is a need for special attention to stop the recruitment of local youth in terrorist organizations.

In some areas of the plaintiff, terrorist organizations are inciting local youth to become terrorists, a comprehensive strategy is also being prepared to deal with it.

He said that the OGW network, which promotes terrorism, is being targeted continuously. Police along with various security agencies have arrested 400 OGWs so far this year.

Implementation of SOP to stop the smuggling of arms:

According to sources, security officials told in the meeting that certain types of vehicles are used for smuggling of arms and narcotics and vehicles for IEDs.

To prevent this, an SOP is being prepared and implemented. Apart from this, conspiracies using various types of IEDs by terrorist organizations have been detected and foiled.

Encroachment is being stopped on the National Highway because only under the guise of crowd and encroachment on the National Highway, terrorists can carry out attacks on the security forces.

Discussion on corona infection: During the meeting, the role of various organizations in dealing with the situation arising out of Covid-19 in Kashmir was also discussed by the officials.

Apart from this, in view of the possibility of a third wave of Covid, also took stock of the preparations to deal with it.
