Sri Lanka vs Australia Test: 13 wickets fell on the first day of the Galle Test, and Sri Lanka’s first innings piled on 212.

The first match of the two-Test series between Sri Lanka and Australia began on Wednesday, June 29.

On the opening day of the match, experienced off-spinner Nathan Lyon (5/90) and leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson (3/55) saw Australia bundle out Sri Lanka for 212 in the first innings of the first Test.

He also lost the first three wickets of his first innings for 98 runs. At the end of the first day’s play, Usman Khawaja 47, and Travis Head were playing after scoring six runs.

Sri Lankan off-spinner Ramesh Mendis dismissed David Warner (25) lbw and Marnus Labushane (13) was caught by Asit Fernando.

Australia’s two wickets fell for 35 runs. Steve Smith was run out after scoring six runs.

Earlier Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first. Captain Dimuth Karunaratne (28) and Pathum Nisanka (23) put on 38 runs for the first wicket.

Pat Cummins got Nisanka caught by wicketkeeper Alex Carey on a bouncing ball. Four runs later, Mitchell Starc walked on Kushal Mendis (3) to reduce the score to 42 for two.

Sri Lanka vs Australia Test: By lunchtime, the score was 68 for two.

After lunch, the Australian spinners troubled the Sri Lankan batsmen. Lyon gets Karunaratne caught by David Warner at a silly point.

Swepson took two wickets in consecutive balls in the 37th over. He dismissed Dhananjay de Silva (14) on the first ball, who was caught by wicketkeeper Alex Carey.

Then Dinesh Chandimal (0) was caught by Warner at the second slip. Sri Lanka lost five wickets within 97 runs. Dickwella added 42 runs for the sixth wicket with Angelo Mathews (39).

Ind vs Eng: Hardik Pandya will be the captain in the first T20 against England, no change in the team that went to Ireland.

The Indian cricket team had great success in the recent two T20 match series in Ireland. The team, who played for the first time under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya, won the rain-stopped first match.

While in the second match, they won the series 2-0 on the basis of a thrilling victory in the last over. In the first T20 match to be played on the tour of England, only the team selected for Ireland will play.
