At present, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has cautioned the students about this and advised them not to take admission in any online program or course without checking the affiliation and affiliation.

Especially be very careful about private companies related to the education sector doing online education, because they are not allowed to run such courses.

UGC said – Do not take admission in online programs or courses without checking recognition and affiliation.

The UGC has clarified that at present, only those universities and higher educational institutions are allowed to run these courses which meet the standards of UGC.

Students were alerted to fraud: No other institutes or private companies are allowed to run these courses at all.

In such a situation, whatever online companies related to education are offering to enroll students in such courses or programs, are absolutely wrong.

Strict action will be taken against such companies. Along with this, their activities are also being monitored.

According to the UGC, these private sector companies offering online education are proposing to offer admission to programs or courses conducted online and through distance mode, saying that they are affiliated with universities.

Whereas under the rules of the UGC, the affiliation to run these courses cannot be given by any higher educational institution.

According to officials, this step has been taken after complaints from private sector online companies related to education about running courses affiliated with universities.

Along with this, students have also been advised to take admission only after checking these institutes on the website operated for online courses of UGC.
