Ban Toll Plaza Encounter: 4 terrorists killed, 2 jawans injured in Jammu encounter; Increased security on Jammu-Srinagar highway.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police once again foiled the conspiracy to infiltrate the terrorists’ valley via the highway.

Four militants of Jaish-e-Mohammed, who were trying to sneak into Pakistan from the Samba sector and sneak into the valley, were killed near the toll plaza by security forces.

In the truck in which these terrorists were going towards Srinagar, the security forces blew the entire truck with bombs.

At present, the movement of vehicles on the Nagrota highway has been stopped and security arrangements have also been increased on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.

The search operations have been conducted by the security forces in the vicinity of Ban Toll Plaza.

DGP Dilbag Singh confirmed the killing of the four terrorists and said that these terrorists from Pakistan entered the Indian border from the Samba sector.

When the truck was stopped for checking at Ban Toll Plaza, the terrorists attacked the jawans stationed there, injuring two SOG personnel.

Both the soldiers have been admitted to GMC for treatment. Their condition is said to be better.

The injured have been identified as constable Kuldeep Raj son Subhash Chandra resident Akhnoor and Mohammad Ishaq Malik resident Neil Qasim Banihal, with pellets fired from the grenade.

This encounter between the security forces and the militants started at Ban Toll Plaza around five o’clock this morning.

Police have set up a barrier before Ban Toll Plaza to check vehicles going to the valley.

It is being told that when the police stopped a truck going to Sopore for investigation, the terrorists hiding behind the truck attacked the security forces with a grenade in a panic.

The grenade exploded injuring two soldiers. Meanwhile, the security forces deployed at the block took their positions and opened fire on the terrorists.

Meanwhile, a joint team of police SOG team, army, and CRPF also reached the spot

Keeping in mind the safety of the people, the movement of vehicles on the highway was stopped. The personnel stationed at the toll plaza and the people sitting in jammed vehicles were taken to safer places.

Within the first hour and a half of the encounter, the security forces killed three terrorists who were in the truck.

A terrorist was still present in the truck which was intermittently firing on the security forces. The security forces asked him to surrender but he did not agree.

The security forces then blew up the entire truck using explosives. A fourth terrorist was also killed during this period.

Security forces say that it was very dark at the time the encounter started. Meanwhile, a search operation has been conducted to confirm that no one has hidden in the jungle from a truck.

This is the second terrorist attack this year on the Bun toll plaza.

Earlier on 31 January 2020, similarly, three terrorists who had infiltrated from Pakistan tried to go to the valley hiding in a truck, which was thwarted by the security forces.

Security forces had piled three terrorists going to the valley hiding in a truck at the same block near the Bun toll plaza.

At the same time, DGP Dilbag Singh said that the four terrorists killed are being identified. These terrorists had recently entered the Indian border.

These terrorists have come from the Samba sector to this side. These four tracks were hiding in the valley and our soldiers failed.
