Terrorists escaped by throwing grenades at security forces, and arms and ammunition were recovered: Shopian Grenade Attack.

In the early hours of Wednesday, security forces conducted a search operation to nab the terrorists in South Kashmir’s Kutpara Shopian.

When the security forces reached the house, the terrorists hurled grenades at the soldiers and opened fire with their automatic weapons.

The security forces retaliated by rescuing themselves, but the terrorists managed to escape. After this, the security forces searched the house which became the terrorist hideout.

They found terrorist hideouts built in the upper part of the house.

The security forces have recovered a huge quantity of arms, ammunition, and other material from this hideout.

This house belongs to terrorist Adil Wani. According to the police, Adil Wani was also involved in the murder of Kashmiri Hindu Sunil Kumar in Chottigam Kulgam on Tuesday.

According to the information received from the police, after getting information from the sources, SOG, Army, and CRPF personnel launched a search operation in Kutpora Shopian in the early hours of Wednesday.

Being dark, the security forces were facing a lot of trouble in finding the terrorists.

Meanwhile, the terrorists hiding in a house saw the security forces coming near them. The security forces suddenly started firing before the security personnel surrounded them.

Before the security personnel could recover and take their positions, the terrorists lobbed a grenade and managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.

One team of security forces started chasing the terrorists while the other team started searching the house where the terrorists were hiding.

On searching the terrorist hideout built in the upper part of the house, the security forces found a huge cache of weapons.

Police say that looking at the number of weapons, it seems that the terrorists were planning to carry out a major incident.

Even this morning, the security forces conducted a search operation in the vicinity of Shopian in search of terrorists.

Let us tell you that in Shopian itself, on Tuesday afternoon, terrorists fired at two Kashmiri Hindu brothers working in the garden. In this attack, a Kashmiri Hindu was killed while another was injured.
