The Chief Of The Army Staff Reached Srinagar

The Chief of the Army Staff reached Srinagar on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir and said – to give a befitting reply to every misadventure of the enemy.

Army Chief General Manoj Pandey on Saturday visited forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir.

Addressing the soldiers and officers, he said that any threat to the unity and integrity of the country should be taken immediately against them.

If you are always alert, then the enemy will not get a chance to do any nefarious act. Every misadventure of the enemy should be given a befitting reply.

This is the first two-day visit of General Manoj Pandey to Jammu and Kashmir after taking over the command of the Army.

General Manoj Pandey, who arrived in Kashmir on Saturday, was received by Northern Command Chief Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi and Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen Amandeep Singh Ojla.

The Chief of the Army Staff reached Srinagar: Before visiting Jammu and Kashmir, General Manoj Pandey visited Ladakh on 29 and 30 April.

The Army Chief took stock of the overall security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir in a meeting with the Chief of Northern Command and the Chinar Corps Commander and other senior army officers at the Chinar Corps Headquarters.

He also discussed the role of the army in the ongoing anti-terrorist operations in the state.

He also reviewed the current situation along the LoC, the operational preparedness of the army, and the anti-infiltration mechanism.

Thereafter, the Army Chief visited military posts located along with the forward parts of the LoC in North Kashmir.

He interacted with the soldiers and officers posted there and inquired about the ground situation from them.

Boosting the morale of the soldiers and officers, he said that the whole country stands with the soldiers of the army.

He said that the soldiers and officers of the Indian Army are known all over the world for their patriotism, devotion to duty, valor, and spirit of self-sacrifice.

He called upon the soldiers and officers to always be alert and said that every misadventure of the enemy should be given a befitting reply.

Reviewing the anti-infiltration mechanism, he said that it is necessary to thwart not only infiltration but also elements smuggling arms and narcotics from POK.
