Truth Revealed- Three Terrorists Were TRF Members: Srinagar

Truth Revealed – youth turns out to be OGW of TRF  in the police investigation: Srinagar Encounter.

The case of three militants who were killed by the army during an encounter in Lavepora on the outskirts of Srinagar earlier caught much media hype.

Police claiming on the basis of evidence revealed during a preliminary technical investigation that the three young terrorists killed were associated with The Registration Front (TRF) of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Truth Revealed – Ejaz and Ather worked for TRF as underground workers.

A police spokesperson said that Ejaz Maqbool’s parents had claimed that their son had gone to the university to fill a form.

Police investigated it with the help of the Department of Telecommunications records and other modern equipment.

Upon investigation, the parents’ claim was found to be false. Ejaz and Athar first went to Hyderpora and from there reached the encounter site.

Similarly, the third youth Zubair first came to Pulwama, then Anantnag, then to Pulwama from Shopian, and from there reached the encounter site.

Police also said that when this came to light, the background checks of these three youths were done. Many important things came out in that too.

Ejaz and Athar Mushtaq had been secretly helping the terrorists for the past several months. Upon investigation, he was found to have links with Lashkar-e-Taiba, now known as TRF.

When asked about this, another OGW of the same organization in police custody, said that Ijaz had a connection with Lashkar terrorist Faisal Mushtaq Baba.

He was killed by security forces in a Meij (Pampore) encounter in June last year. Athar also turned out to be a relative of the terrorist.

He was the OGW of Rais Kachroo, the top commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen. However, Kachroo was also killed in an encounter by security forces in the year 2017.

The spokesman said that the police are also investigating other aspects.

The police spokesman said that the presence of the terrorists was reported to the army, while the police also participated in the operation.

The encounter was halted until dawn due to darkness. Once again in the morning, the terrorists were asked to surrender but they did not agree.

However, during the encounter, the three terrorists fired on the security forces besides carrying out continuous grenade attacks. When they did not agree, the three terrorists were killed.

Seeing that the matter is catching up, Mehbooba Mufti has written a letter to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha seeking the support of the people and demanded a fair investigation into the matter.
