Washington Mass protest: Demand for change in gun policy in America, President Biden supported.

Thousands of Americans, fed up with incidents of shootings on innocent people and children, took out processions in all cities of the country including the capital Washington on Saturday to protest against the government’s gun policy.

He demanded such changes in the law so that the misuse of weapons and violence can be stopped.

People were especially angry and sad about the May school shootings in Texas. Most of the young children were killed in that incident.

Under the banner of March for Our Lives (FOL), the procession was organized by a group demanding protection from guns.

The group includes victims of the 2018 shootings at a high school in Parkland, Florida.

The group took out a procession in 450 cities and towns in the US on Saturday, demanding a change in gun policy. The group was also largely successful in its objective.

Despite light rain in Washington, people gathered near the National Mall and went to the Washington Monument.

US President Joe Biden, citing Texas and other incidents, urged Parliament to change the background information of the buyer of the assault weapon and take other precautionary measures.

Biden himself also backed Saturday’s march.

He said the youth have come out on the road and given the message of the majority of the people of the country to the Parliament. I support his message and request Parliament to do something.

President Biden last week called for a ban on semi-automatic, assault-style rifles and high-capacity magazines amid a rise in mass shootings in the US.

He also called for raising the minimum age for buying arms in the country from 18 to 21.

America said, China is strengthening its position near the borders with India; the US stands firmly with its allies.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd James Austin said on Saturday that China is continuously strengthening its position on the borders with India.

He stressed that the US stands firmly with its allies as they are defending their rights in the face of China’s forcible war conditions and its aggressive attitude.
