Tika Lal Taplu fought with anti-national elements in Kashmir, BJP remembered by paying tribute on 31st Martyrdom Day
State BJP remembered Tika Lal Taplu, a victim of terrorists’ bullets, on his 31st Martyrdom Day on Monday. This attack was done to get the Kashmiri Pandits to flee from the valley.
On Monday, on the 31st Martyrs’ Day of Tika Lal, Kashmir Pandits along with the state BJP organized programs and remembered their martyrdom.
Tributes were paid in a program organized by the Kashmir displaced unit at the state BJP headquarters in Jammu.
Tributes to Tika Lal Taplu and Kashmiri Pandits who were victims of terrorist attacks during the last thirty years were paid in this program.
These attacks were carried out by terrorists in Wandhama, Chhatisingh Pora, Doda, Kishtwar, and Rajouri districts during the past 31 years.
Tributes were also paid to those who died in the massacres.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, Kavinder Gupta, Virendrajit Singh, Yudhveer Sethi, and senior party leaders Arvind Gupta, Prabhat Singh, Ajay Bharti, Surendra Ambardar, and Chand Ji Bhatt were present on the occasion.
Expressing his views on this occasion, Ashok Kail said that Tika Lal, who was the State Vice President of BJP, never compromised with his principles.
He was a good lawyer as well as a good speaker. Dr. Nirmal Singh said that his martyrdom can never be forgotten. He was a big leader of Kashmir in whom people of all communities of Kashmir believed.
On the other hand, Chand Ji Bhatt and Surendra Ambardar said that the terrorists had killed the trust, brotherhood, and rich culture of the region in Kashmir by attacking Tika Lal on 13 September 1989.
The grief of the death of Tika Lal was observed across Kashmir. His last rites were attended by veterans like Lal Krishna Advani and Kedar Nath Sahni.
