Microsoft June 2025 security update: Microsoft cured the first used WebDAV Zero-Day Flaw

According to Microsoft’s release notes, the June 2025 Security updates have 67 security flaws affecting many products and services. The firm has cured 14 flaws, which could have caused privatizes escalation, correcting 26 remote code examination flaws and 17 other issues that could cause information disclosures.

The largest security flaw detected by Microsoft is the CVE-2025-33053, which affects the Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) HTTP extensions. According to Microsoft, the CVSS score of this zero-day security Flaw is 8.8 and was actively used, in which users were tricked to click on a Malicious URL.

These flaws were caught by Check Point researchers David Drker and Alexandra Gofman, and the Cybercharity firm says that the CVE-2025-33053 km was used by the Threat actor named Fruityarmor or Stealth Falcon. This security flaw allowed the hackers to execute a remote code on the target computer, but by changing the working directory.

Microsoft also corrected another zero-day security flaw affecting the Windows SMB (SAMBA) client, which could give elevated or systems. to the malicious users on devices connected to the same local network.
