Four OGW Of Lashkar Arrested In Budgam, Central Kashmir

Four OGW of Lashkar arrested in Budgam. The security forces have arrested four Lashkar-e-Taiba workers of OGW in Chadura, Budgam on Tuesday. These include Arshad Mushtaq Bhagat, Nisar Bashir Bhagat, Tahir Jahangir Dar, and Adil Bashir Wani.

From them, two Chinese-made grenades, a magazine, and a pistol with eight cartridges and 30 cartridges of an assault rifle and the flag of Lashkar and some documents have been found.

A joint task force of Jammu and Kashmir Special Operations Team, Army, and CRPF had raided the area on the information about the hideout of terrorists in Chadura. During this time, all four were caught.

During interrogation, he told that he had been working as help for Lashkar and other terrorist organizations for a long time. He used to provide safe havens for terrorists active in various parts of Budgam district and Pulwama including Chadura, Vathura, Sheikhpora.

Apart from this, their weapons were also safely transported from one place to another. He also used to inform the security forces of the terrorists. According to police sources, the four overground workers caught were also inciting people for stone-pelting and anti-national demonstrations.

Director-General of Police Dilbag Singh said that the police give full opportunity to the local terrorists to surrender. It is our endeavor that the terrorists are caught alive, they join the mainstream and live a respectable life with their families.

He said that during the Dadura Pulwama encounter recently, a terrorist stole was caught. Lashkar’s dreaded terrorist Zahid Tiger is killed in this encounter. The killing of Zahid is a major success of security forces against terrorism in District Pulwama.

Dilbag Singh was talking to reporters after taking stock of the law and order situation in Pulwama on Tuesday.

When asked about the foreign militants operating in South Kashmir, he said that many Pakistani terrorists of Lashkar are currently active in Pulwama and its adjoining areas.

This year, security forces have killed 24 Pakistani terrorists in South Kashmir. He said that the complete eradication of terrorism is our goal.

When asked about the frequent terrorist attacks on the national highway, the Director-General of Police said that the movement of terrorists on the highway is nominal.

The terrorists are well aware that security forces avoid retaliation in crowded places, so they attack the highway. In the same year, during the investigation in Nagrota, there was an encounter with the terrorists, in which all the terrorists were killed.
