When the security forces started marching around Malura, the terrorists got a clue of it. They fired at the soldiers while attempting to break the siege.

The soldiers, while defending themselves, fired back and thwarted the terrorists’ plan. With this, the encounter started there.

As soon as the encounter was reported in Malura, additional contingents of police, army, and CRPF from the nearby camps also rushed towards the site of the encounter.

The security forces surrounded the terrorists from the bait, closing all the routes to and from Malura.

Surrender was also appealed to the terrorists repeatedly by the officials present at the mosque, but the terrorists had responded to the surrender appeal with abusive language.

Security forces say that they have been successful in killing two terrorists in the ongoing encounter. However, he has not been identified yet.
