Five People Died Due To Poisonous Alcohol Consumption In Kerala

Five people died due to poisonous alcohol consumption in Palakkad, 9 hospitalized. Five people have died while drinking fake alcohol in Palakkad, Kerala, while nine people have been hospitalized.

According to the leading news agency, five people died in the Chellanam tribal colony here after allegedly consuming alcohol.

In addition, nine people, including three women, have been hospitalized after growing uneasiness. According to the Waliyar police, the deceased were identified as Raman (52), Ayyappan (55), his sons Arun (22), Sivan (45), and his brother Murthy (33).

Walayar police said Raman died on Sunday morning and the last was done according to tribal tradition. Police said other people also consumed alcohol.

He said that according to our preliminary investigation, all the deaths were caused by suspected intake of fake alcohol. We are awaiting a chemical report to accurately ascertain the cause of the deaths.

Police are also not denying the possibility of adding a sanitizer to the liquor as a hospitalized person said the liquor supplied tasted like soap.

A total of five people have died in this incident. Raman died on Sunday morning while Ayyappan died in the evening. The other 3 people also died on Monday.

Earlier all these deaths were believed to be natural death but after the death of many people, the bodies were post mortem in the district hospital, which showed that all these people died due to the consumption of fake alcohol.

Police have started investigating this case. For this, she is also taking help from forensic experts. Police have also found some empty bottles of liquor from the scene.

Petition against leasing of Thiruvananthapuram airport dismissed in Kerala High Court

The Kerala High Court dismissed the petitions of the state government and others filed against the central government’s decision to lease the Thiruvananthapuram airport to Adani Enterprises.

A division bench of Justice K Vinod Chandran and CS Diaz rejected the pleas of the state government and others against the decision to lease the airport. The Kerala government had approached the High Court on August 21 for a stay order in this case.

The state government filed the petition in the High Court after an all-party meeting in Kerala. In the all-party meeting, the Central Government was asked to withdraw the decision.

Earlier last year, the High Court rejected a petition challenging the Centre’s decision, saying that it was not considered under Article 226 of the Constitution.

The state government had filed a petition in the Supreme Court against this. The Supreme Court quashed the decision of the High Court and asked him to consider its merit.
