The Kashmir Files: Ban on The Kashmir Files in Rajasthan’s Kota, Section-144 implemented for one month.
The crowd in cinema halls to watch director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s film “The Kashmir Files”. Meanwhile, Section-144 has been implemented in Kota for one month.
Section-144 came into force on Tuesday and will remain in force till April 21. Now five or more people will not be able to gather together in the Kota district. This has been done because of the film The Kashmir Files.
Ban on The Kashmir Files: The Kota district administration feared the film would cause communal tension in Kota.
Acting District Collector Rajkumar Singh has issued orders in this regard on Monday. Now no procession or demonstration will be held in Kota city for a month.
It has been said in the order that no person can carry a rifle, revolver, pistol, shotgun, or any other sharp weapon in Kota.
People of the Sikh community will be allowed to wear kirpan as per the religious tradition. On the other hand, political reasons are also being told about the implementation of Section-144 in Kota.
In fact, BJP leader Prahlad Gunjal on Tuesday held a big demonstration of women in Kota against the state’s Autonomous Governance Minister Shanti Dhariwal.
Ten thousand women were being claimed to be involved in this demonstration.
This demonstration of women was to be held in protest against the objectionable statement made by Dhariwal about women in the assembly recently. Gunjal said that no force can stop this protest.
The performance will continue. BJP Legislature Party deputy leader Rajendra Rathod said in a statement that the film is being praised everywhere in the country.
One can clearly see the enthusiasm among the people to watch the film in theatres.
The decision of the administration to impose Section-144 is unfortunate because the citizens of Kota cannot watch the film.
Agnihotri sought the intervention of the Union Minister and CM.
The director of the film Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has lodged a protest against the imposition of Section-144.
He has sought the intervention of Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in this matter.
Agnihotri tweeted and said, Anurag Thakur Ji, if the state itself had failed the film on the right to justice in a democracy, then what should we think of justice.
He wrote, Ashok Gehlot Ji, the only power of terrorists is that they create fear and we get scared.
As the matter escalated, it was soon clarified by the district administration that in the coming days, the festivals of communally sensitive festivals like Navratri, Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday, Jamatul Vida, and Baisakhi are coming.
Along with this, it is necessary to maintain law and order in theaters in view of The Kashmir Files film.
Crowd gatherings, dharnas, demonstrations, meetings, and processions have been banned.
The Collector said that Section-144 has also been invoked due to the deaths of youths bathing in The Kashmir Files and Chambal River and its canals and distributaries.
