Afghanistan Bomb Blast: At least 16 people were killed in minibus blasts including a mosque in Kabul.

At least 14 people were killed in multiple blasts in Afghanistan on Wednesday. According to the Taliban, there was an explosion in a mosque in Kabul, in which five people were killed.

In addition, nine people, all of the Shia community, were killed in blasts in three minivans in northern Afghanistan. Kabul Emergency Hospital said 22 victims of the blast at the mosque were brought to it.

Five of them had died. Taliban police spokesman Khalid Zadran said the blast took place at the Hazrat Zakaria Mosque.

The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-e-Sharif. The terrorist group said on its Telegram channel on Wednesday.

Taliban police spokesman Daran said the blast took place when people had gathered at the mosque for prayers in the evening.

Whereas, three minivans exploded in the northern Mazar-e-Sharif city of Afghanistan. Explosives were already planted in the minivan.

Nine people were killed and 15 were injured in this. All the victims belong to the Shia community. No terrorist group has yet claimed responsibility for the blasts.

Let us tell you that on April 29 last month, at least 10 people were killed in an attack on a Sunni mosque in Kabul.

A large number of members of the minority Sufi community were present here who had gathered to offer prayers.

On April 21, at least 12 worshipers were killed and several others were injured in a bomb blast at a Shia mosque in Mazar-e-Sharif.

Three women were also among those killed.

Balkh provincial police spokesman Asif Waziri said the bombs were placed on three minibusses in different districts of the city.

He said 15 others were injured in the blasts. The head of the Balkh health department, Najibullah Tawana, said three women were among those killed in the vehicle explosions.
