Afghanistan Warned Taliban Against Smuggling Military Equipment

Afghanistan warned the Taliban against smuggling military equipment into Pakistan.

Afghanistan Interior Minister Abdul Satar Mirzakwal visited Pakhtia province on Tuesday and warned the Taliban to stop transporting military equipment confiscated from the Afghan army to Pakistan.

The Khama Press has given this information. These military equipment and tanks have been confiscated by Taliban militants during clashes with Afghan forces.

The acting interior minister said anyone smuggling military tanks into Pakistan would be directly targeted by the Afghan air force.

He further said that the Taliban takes these military tanks to Pakistan via Afghanistan’s Zabul province.

Khama Press quoted Shamim Khan Katwazai, the head of the Independent Directorate of Local Governance for Afghanistan, as saying that there is evidence and footage that the Taliban are carrying military equipment to Pakistan.

Taliban rejects claims.

However, the Taliban have consistently denied these claims.

The case comes amid an escalation of violence in Afghanistan with frequent clashes between Taliban and Afghan security forces amid the withdrawal of US forces.

According to a UN report, Pakistan-based jihadist groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) continue to fight alongside the Taliban against Afghan national forces.

Taliban has captured many districts of the country.

The Taliban have captured several districts in the country since the start of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. At least four more districts have fallen into the hands of the Taliban.

However, Afghanistan’s national security forces have made an advance in the city of Kunduz in northern Afghanistan.

According to Tolo News, Ghazni MP Khoddad Irfani said, ‘I think seven districts out of 18 districts of Ghazni have come under Taliban control.

Only the Center and three districts are somehow under the control of the government.

Amid escalating violence in Afghanistan, Pakistan’s outspoken Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has admitted that Afghan Taliban families live in his country, including in the capital Islamabad.

Ahmed also said that the Taliban receive medical treatment in Pakistani hospitals.

According to Tolo News, his statement comes at a time when the deadline for the withdrawal of US forces from the war-torn country is drawing near.

Afghanistan has seen an increase in violence in the past few weeks due to the Taliban attack.
