AIADMK Political Crisis: Palaniswami expels 18 members including Panneerselvam’s sons from the party, OPS said- Removal of Lok Sabha MP is a complete dictatorship.

Edappadi K Palaniswami, interim general secretary of Tamil Nadu’s All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), on Thursday, expelled 18 party members, including the sons of former chief minister O Panneerselvam, from the party.

Reacting to the removal, O Pannerselvam on Thursday said that the removal of Lok Sabha member Rabindranath from Theni is a complete dictatorship.

O Panneerselvam, expelled from AIADMK leader and father of OP Rabindranath, said, “In the last general election 2019, OP Rabindranath had won and this is the only seat where AIADMK won.

The removal of Theni Lok Sabha MP is a complete dictatorship. O Panneerselvam met his supporters at his residence in Chennai on Thursday.

Both sons of OPS are MPs.

AIADMK interim general secretary Edapaddi K Palaniswami on Thursday expelled 18 members of the party, including O Panneerselvam’s sons, from the primary membership.

All these 18 members are supporters of Panneerselvam. OPS has two sons, OP Ravindranath and VP Jayapradip Lok Sabha MPs.

Other veteran leaders sacked from the party include former ministers Natarajan, Kolathur Krishnamurthy, and Marudhu Alagaraj.

Earlier on Wednesday, the AIADMK had appointed KP Munusamy and Natham Viswanathan as deputy general secretaries.

The party appointed Ponnaiyan as the secretary of the International MGR Forum and SP Velumani as the headquarters secretary.

In addition, Sailur Raju, Shanmugam, Dhanapal, Rajendra Balaji, Kadambur Raju, and six others were appointed as organizing secretaries for the party.

AIADMK Political Crisis: Edapaddi K Palaniswami to hold a meeting with party MLAs on July 17.

The leadership battle between O Panneerselvam and Palaniswami of Edapaddi was going on for a long time.

According to sources, Palaniswami of Edapaddi will hold a meeting with party MLAs on July 17 at his Greenways Road residence in Chennai.
