Al-Qaeda Terror Module exposed in Assam, offices of Al-Qaeda demolished: Assam CM.

A day after the demolition of madrassas in Assam’s Goalpara district, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said all the demolished madrassas were not madrassas but al-Qaeda offices.

Talking to media persons here, Sarma said, “All demolished madrassas were not madrassas but offices of Al Qaeda. We demolished 2-3 and now the public is coming to demolish others.

This statement of the Chief Minister of Assam comes after local residents of Pakhuria Char in K Goalpara district arrested a madrasa for alleged anti-national activities.

Superintendent of Police VV Rakesh Reddy said, “The local people took the initiative to demolish a madrasa. The government was not involved.

They were surprised that the jihadi who was arrested was a teacher in the madrasa. People sent out a strong message. that they do not support jihadist activities.

CPRO of Assam Police said, “Today, the locals of Darogar Alaga, Pakhiura Char in Goalpara district voluntarily demolished the madrasa and the adjoining residence.”

“This residence was earlier used by the two suspected Bangladeshi nationals in a strong outrage against jihadi activities.”

In the past few weeks, four madrassas have been demolished, of which the first three were torn down by government officials.

Earlier on August 4, government officials demolished the Madrasa Jamiul Huda Madrasa at Moirabari in Morigaon district.

Terrorists arrested by Assam Police from Goalpara district.

Earlier on Saturday, two suspected terrorists belonging to the Al-Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) terror groups were arrested by the Assam Police in Goalpara district.

The arrested people have been identified as Abdus Subhan, Imam of Tinkunia Shantipur Masjid under Mornoi police station, and Jalaluddin Sheikh, Imam of Tilpara Natun Masjid under Matia police station of Goalpara.

Goalpara SP VV Rakesh Reddy had said that the two persons were arrested after hours of interrogation.

The SP said, “We had received inputs from Abbas Ali, arrested in July this year, who is also linked to jihadi elements.

During interrogation, we found that he was directly linked to Barpeta and Morigaon modules of AQIS/ABT in Assam.

“During the house search of the accused persons, several incriminating materials, posters, books, mobile phones, SIM cards, and ID cards were seized along with other documents belonging to al-Qaeda, jihadi elements of Assam,” he said.

The senior police officer said that the accused has also provided logistical support to the jihadi terrorists who came here from Bangladesh.
