Anil Deshmukh Case: CBI Again Records Sachin Waze’s Statement

Anil Deshmukh Case: CBI again records Sachin Waje’s statement. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has again recorded the statement of suspended Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waze on Friday.

The statement was recorded in connection with the investigation into allegations of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.

Earlier on Thursday, the CBI recorded statements of four people, including Parambir.

Meanwhile, CBI questioned former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police Sanjay Patil, and suspended police officer Sachin Waze on Thursday.

The questioning was in connection with the preliminary investigation into corruption charges against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.

Anil Deshmukh Case: The Bombay High Court has ordered the CBI to conduct a preliminary inquiry into the allegations.

Parambir Singh had written a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray alleging that Deshmukh called Patil to his residence where his personal staff gave the police officer a target to recover from the bars and restaurants every month.

Patil repeatedly claimed that he had met Deshmukh along with other officials to give information about a raid. But after that, he never met the then Home Minister.

Patil is believed to have told the Mumbai Police’s Internal Investigation Team that he met Vajhe at the office where he told him about the recovery of Rs 3 lakh every month from each bar.

According to sources, Patil also claimed that he did not know anything about any meeting between Waze and Deshmukh.

The officials also met Mumbai-based lawyer Jayashree Patil, on whose plea the Bombay High Court ordered a preliminary inquiry to the CBI.

The CBI started a preliminary inquiry into allegations of corruption against Deshmukh on Tuesday. A team of officials from Delhi has come to Mumbai for investigation.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested API Sachin, posted in the Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police, in connection with the murder of Antilia Kanda and Mansukh Hiren.

The CBI had taken permission from the special court to interrogate Waze. He was arrested by the NIA after Singh was transferred from the post of Police Commissioner of Mumbai.

After the transfer, Parambir alleged that Deshmukh had asked Waze and other police officials to recover Rs 100 crore from bars and restaurants. At the same time, the NIA underwent a medical examination of Sachin Vaje on Thursday.

The NIA team took him to JJ Hospital during the day, where he was examined. According to sources, his medical report has been submitted to the concerned authorities.
