Anti-National Government Teacher Sacked In Kashmir

Anti-national government teacher sacked in Kashmir, preparations for action against 500 anti-national elements in the government machinery.

Taking action against the anti-national elements sitting at various places in the government machinery, the state government has sacked a government teacher.

Investigation of complaints against about 500 more government officials and personnel is going on and soon many of them will be shown the way out of government service.

It is worth mentioning that on April 21, the Jammu and Kashmir state government sat in various government departments to identify the elements working against the unity, integrity, and security of the country, to investigate the cases related to them.

Additional Director General of Police CID has been made it’s head.

Based on the recommendations of the STF, the committee headed by the Chief Secretary has the right to terminate the services of the anti-national elements under Section 311 of the Constitution without any hearing.

Idris Jan is the name of the teacher who has been relieved on the basis of his complicity in anti-national activities. He was a teacher of Government Middle School at Karalpora in District Kupwara, adjoining LoC in North Kashmir.

In the order issued by the General Administration Department, that the Lieutenant Governor is fully satisfied that the activities of Idris Jan are anti-national.

In the national interest, he should be relieved from service with immediate effect under sub-section 2 of section 311 of the Constitution. So they have relieved him.

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, many times government officials and personnel have been found to be directly or indirectly associated with terrorist organizations.

Due to their high reach and political influence, these elements have managed to escape the clutches of the law many times.

Various central intelligence agencies, including the Jammu and Kashmir Police, have also emphasized action against them by informing them of the sitting and supporters of the government departments, militants, and separatists in Jammu and Kashmir in their reports several times.

Recently, the Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a professor of Kulgam on the grounds of involvement in anti-national activities.

According to highly placed sources, the CID in Jammu and Kashmir has made a list of about 500 officers and employees against whom there is strong evidence of their involvement in anti-national activities.

CID informed that before the formation of STF on 21 April 2021, the State Government had constituted a committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, indicating strict action against these elements on 30 July 2020.

Apart from this, the Terror Monitoring Group (TMG) was formed in 2019 as per the instructions of the Central Government.

The TMG was tasked to collect full details of the activities and background of the terrorists and supporters of the separatists in the government machinery, the elements working for them.

In 2016 also 12 government employees were dismissed.

During the violent protests of 2016, the Jammu and Kashmir government led by the then Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti sacked 12 government employees on grounds of complicity in anti-national activities.

Most of these were later reinstated upon court intervention.

3 professors were removed in 1986.

On 27 February 1986, the then Governor Jagmohan forcibly relinquished Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, Professor Abdul Rahim, and Sharifudin as a threat to national unity and integrity.

Prof. Abdul Ghani Butt later formed the Muslim Conference. He has also been the chairman and spokesperson of the Hurriyat Conference.

The services of former education minister Naeem Akhtar were also abolished.

A senior leader of the Peoples Democratic Party and former education minister Naeem Akhtar was a bureaucrat before coming to politics.

In July 1990, five officers, including Naeem Akhtar, were dismissed by the then Lieutenant Governor GC Saxena citing a threat to national unity and integrity.

At that time, the late Chandra Shekhar was sitting on the post of Prime Minister. The services of these five officers were reinstated under political pressure.
