The ICC has given its reaction on the pitch of the first match played between Australia and Pakistan in Rawalpindi. It has been described by the ICC as a pitch below average.

Match referee Ranjan Madugalle said in an official statement, “The behavior of the pitch did not change even once during the entire match.

The pitch didn’t have a lot of paces and bounce for seamers, nor was there any help for spinners on the third and fourth days.”
