Australia’s Team Declared Its First Innings, Scored 416 Runs

Australia’s team declared its first innings, scored 416 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

The hosts Australia have declared their first innings against England in the fourth match of the five-match Ashes series at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.

Australia’s team has scored 416 runs in the first innings. Seven England bowlers together were able to dismiss only 8 Australian batsmen. Out of that too, Stuart Broad took five wickets in his name.

In this match, Australian team captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat and the Kangaroo team played 134 overs and scored 416 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

Usman Khawaja scored a century for Australia. He scored 137 runs in 260 balls with the help of 13 fours, while Steve Smith scored 67 runs in 141 balls.

Australia’s team declared its first innings: For Australia, 38 runs were scored by opener Marcus Harris, 34 runs by Mitchell Starc, 30 runs by David Warner, and 28 runs by Marnus Labuschagne.

On the other hand, Stuart Broad got five wickets for England, while James Anderson, Mark Wood, and Joe Root got 1-1 wickets.

The wicket column of Ben Stokes, Jack Leach, and David Malan remained empty. However, Ben Stokes was out of the field early on the second day due to injury.

This was no less than a big setback for the England team, as he is also a wicket-taking bowler and is also quite famous for batting.

It is worth noting that in this Ashes series, the England team has already lost the series after losing three matches.

England definitely has a chance to save self-respect, but it remains to be seen whether the England team will be able to avoid their defeat in this match or else the result will be the same as it has been seen in the first three matches of this series.

The last match of the Ashes series is to be held in Hobart, for which preparations are going on.
