Barcelona Held Sevilla To A Draw In La Liga

Barcelona held Sevilla to a draw in La Liga, Arsenal reached the semi-finals of the League Cup.

Sevilla defender Jules Condé was immediately shown a red card for hitting an opponent’s player in the face, which Barcelona took advantage of in a 1-1 draw in the Spanish Football League La Liga match.

Papu Gomez gave Sevilla the lead in the 32nd minute. Ronaldo Araujo scored the equalizer for Barcelona just before the first half.

In the 64th minute of the game, Condé was shown a red card, after which Sevilla took a defensive approach.

The draw puts Sevilla five points behind top-ranked Real Madrid but remains in second place as before. Barcelona is in seventh place.

In another match, Villarreal defeated Alavés 5–2 with two goals each from Gerade Moreno and Bolaye Dia.

Eddie Enketia’s hat-trick and Charlie Patino’s goal in his debut match helped Arsenal beat Sunderland 5-1 to enter the semi-finals of England’s League Cup football tournament.

Enketia scored in the 17th, 49th and 58th minutes. Meanwhile, Nicolas Pepe scored in the 27th minute. The 18-year-old Patino scored in second-half injury time after landing as a substitute.

Nathan Broadhead scored the lone goal for Sunderland in the 31st minute.

The other three teams in the semi-finals will be determined by matches in the League Cup between Chelsea and Brentford, Liverpool and Leicester, and Tottenham and West Ham.

Juventus beat Cagliari to end the year on a positive note.

Juventus ended the year on a positive note with a 2-0 win over Cagliari to move closer to the top four teams in the Italian football league Serie A.

Moise Keane and Federico Bernardecchi scored for Juventus, leaving only four points between them and fourth-placed Atalanta. Atlanta shared the points in a goalless draw against Genoa.

Atalanta has 38 points and is in fourth place which happens to be the last place to qualify for the Champions League.

Atalanta had a chance to overtake Napoli and AC Milan (both 39 points) to finish second behind Inter Milan (43 points).

But was stunned by a points division from Genoa, which was on the verge of slipping into the second division. Juventus are fifth with 34 points.
