Bengaluru Encroachments: Illegal buildings are being demolished after floods in Bengaluru, and action is being taken against encroachment.

In the past few days, Bengaluru was flooded due to heavy rains. Now after this crisis, the work of demolition of illegal buildings built in different areas of the city is going on fast.

This action is being taken under the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, BBMP. In this sequence, the cleaning of the encroachment of the Raj canal is going on.

On Tuesday, 18 such encroachments have been removed, which includes the Mahadevpur zone and the Yalahanka zone.

Illegal buildings were demolished in these areas with the help of JCB machines.

Illegal buildings were demolished in Mahadevapura Zone, Shantiniketan Layout, Papaya Reddy Layout, Chellaghat, and Yelahanka Zone Satellite Town, Rajkaluwe.

Encroachments were removed by the Corporation Engineers, Revenue Officers, Marshals, and Police personnel with two Hitachi and 8 JCB machines.

The encroachment of about 50 meters has been removed and the work of demolition of illegal buildings is going on.

Due to the floods, the condition of Bengaluru has been in bad shape in the past, for which the government has blamed the sewage and drainage system of the city, as well as the illegal encroachment here as a big reason.

The Anti Encroachment Drive, which started on Monday this week, continued even today.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Revenue Minister R Ashoka said on Tuesday, “All the apartments were built illegally in Rajakaluve, Bangalore, they were dropped.”

By next monsoon, we have to remove all pending buildings as you saw in Noida. Action has to be taken against the officials and builders.

He also told that 30-40 IT companies have encroached upon Rajakaluve.
