Bijnor (Uttar Pradesh): Man identified as  Manjeet Singh was killed by his cousins for not getting coronavirus test done.

Bijnor (Uttar Pradesh), May 24:  In a shocking incident that happened on Friday in Malakpur town a man identified as  Manjeet Singh died because of head wounds after he was assaulted by his cousins, supposedly for not getting tested for the coronavirus after his arrival from Delhi.

Manjeet Singh (23) passed on Friday during treatment in Meerut City Hospital. The occurrence occurred in Malakpur town in the Bijnor region.

An FIR has now been lodged against Manjeet’s cousins, Kapil and Manoj, their mom Puniya and Manoj’s wife Dolly at the Nahtaur police station on a grievance documented by  Kalyan Singh, the dad of the perished on Sunday.

SHO, Nahtaur police station, Satya Prakash Singh said that no arrests have been made at this point.

As indicated by reports, Manjeet passed on because of head wounds.

His sample was not gathered for a coronavirus test by doctors during treatment.

Additional SP, Bijnor, Sanjay Kumar stated, he underwent thermal screening when he reached Bijnor on May 19 from Delhi. The report was negative so his sample was not gathered.

SHO Satya Prakash Singh stated, “Since his arrival, Kapil and Manoj were normally asking Manjeet to complete his test. On Thursday, the cousins again asked Manjeet to complete his test after which a contention resulted between them.”

“The charged brought sticks and began hitting Manjeet. He endured wounds on the head and shoulder. When Manjeet fell oblivious, he was raced to government medical college hospital by his parents where he surrendered to wounds a day later,” said Singh.

Chief Medical Official(CMO), Bijnor, Dr. Vijay Yadav said he has “no information” about the issue.
