BJP workers reached Lal Chowk to hoist the tricolor, police detained, The uproar over Mehbooba’s statement.

The Kashmir Police on Monday detained Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers from Lal Chowk in Srinagar. They were trying to unfurl the national flag at the Clock Tower located in Srinagar Lal Chowk, hoisting Bharat Mata ki Jai.

A video in this regard is also going viral on social media in which these activists are seen shouting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and hoisting the tricolor in the city.

BJP workers on Monday took out the tricolor from Kupwara to Srinagar in protest against Mehbooba’s statement. BJP workers from Kupwara reached Srinagar’s famous Lal Chowk and tried to hoist the tricolor.

These activists who came to hoist the tricolor were repeatedly raising slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai saying that Kashmir is a part of India. No one can separate it.

The three BJP workers detained by the police include Kupwara district BJP spokesperson Mir Basharat, Mir Ishfaq, and Akhtar Khan.

Basharat said that his motive behind hoisting the tricolor at Lal Chowk is to send a message to all other members of the coalition including Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah.

who are involved in the Gupkar Declaration for People’s Alliance, that only the tricolor will be hoisted in Kashmir. All the three BJP workers taken into custody have been kept at the police station Kothibagh.

You may be aware that several political parties of Kashmir have recently formed the Guptak Declaration for People’s Alliance in Jammu and Kashmir to revive Article 370 and give it statehood.

They have decided to fight together, calling this action of the central government unconstitutional. The head of the organization Dr. Farooq stressed that he is not anti-national but anti-BJP.

At the same time, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti made a statement in front of journalists that she will not hoist the tricolor nor lift the tricolor until the flag of Jammu and Kashmir is restored.

She also announced that she would not contest elections until Article 370 was restored.

There has been an uproar over the tricolor statement of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. BJP is aggressive on Mehbooba’s statement.

The BJP is taking out the tricolor from Srinagar to Kupwara on Monday to protest against Mehbooba’s statement. At the same time, BJP workers reached Srinagar’s famous Lal Chowk in Kupwara and tried to hoist the tricolor.

Actually, Mehbooba Mufti had announced that I will not raise any flag other than Jammu and Kashmir. Mehbooba Mufti said that when our flag comes back, we will also lift that (tricolor) flag.

But as long as our own flag, which has been taken by the bandits, we will not carry any other flag in our hands. The former CM said that that flag is part of our Ain, it is our flag. This flag has formed our relationship with that flag.

In Jammu and Kashmir, many parties including PDP, National Conference have opened a front against the Central Government and have again demanded to re-implement Article 370. For this, all parties have entered into a secret agreement.

The BJP has termed Mehbooba’s statement as traitorous. BJP said, no power of the earth can hoist that flag again and bring Article 370 back.

State BJP President Ravindra Raina said, “I request Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to take cognizance of the seditious statement of Mehbooba Mufti and put him behind bars.”

However, during this time BJP workers were caught by the police, and 4 BJP workers were detained.

Recently Mehbooba Mufti had said that she will not hold the tricolor until Article 370 is restored in Kashmir and she does not get the flag of Jammu and Kashmir back.

Earlier on Sunday, activists of BJP’s student organization protested outside the PDP office in Jammu against Mehbooba Mufti over the controversial remarks on the national flag.

This was the second day of the demonstration. The tricolor was hoisted by some youth at the PDP office in Jammu. During this time, there were fierce slogans against Mehbooba Mufti.
