It is said that the feet of a child are seen in the cradle, but the singling of this unequaled organization of the sons of Mother India was heard on the international stage within just three months of its establishment.

It was the year 1971 when the whole world saw the passion of the country to protect the borders of India land, the newly formed ‘Border Security Force’ (whose acronym has become more famous as a nickname than the English alphabet group ‘BSF’) to terrorize enemies.

And is synonymous with patriotism for Indians, not only defended their borders well with the Pakistani invasion of Gujarat but also introduced unmatched gallantry in East Pakistan, shaking shoulder to shoulder with the Indian armed forces.

It was the year when the world witnessed two events that changed the geography and history of the Indian subcontinent. Birth of Bangladesh and might of BSF.

This artillery of the Border Security Force, working in silence, also believes in working quietly, but when its shells fall, not only the fortifications of the enemy are also destroyed.

From Kutch to Kargil there is no count of its wounds inflicted on the enemy. Just like on those countless nights, when Border Security Force personnel continue to patrol vigilantly in the cold desert and Biaban jungles and hills to prevent Parinda from the enemy’s border towards India’s borders.

BSF, the world’s largest security force, has kept the border of the country under its four arms, or four-wing circles, from the nefarious intentions of the enemies.
